Abstract

In this work, a Direct Torque Control (DTC), with 36 sectors of the Induction Motor (IM) drive controlled by intelligent regulators, is proposed. The proposed command scheme uses the electromagnetic torque errors through an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) and the classic PI speed regulator based on the Fuzzy Logic (FL) regulator. Simulation results by using ANFIS and FL regulators are compared to the results obtained by using conventional DTC systems with 36 sectors. The simulation results of DTC command with intelligent regulators showed the reduction in the electromagnetic torque, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) value of stator current, and stator flux ripple and the validity of the proposed control system.
